Greater Manchester Combined Authority has published its project funding allocations for the 2026/27 financial year under the programme now described locally as the Industrial Strategy Zone.
The decision, published on 7 April 2026, relates to the region's Investment Zone programme originally agreed with the UK Government in March 2024. It provides for approximately £19 million of funding across the financial year, supporting a series of previously agreed projects.
The allocations include infrastructure works associated with Atom Valley, continued development of the Sister innovation district, investment in advanced materials and manufacturing capabilities, business investment activity and skills programmes in several local authority areas.
Greater Manchester's programme focuses on advanced materials and advanced manufacturing, with support intended to bring businesses, research institutions and local partners together around the region's industrial strengths.
The allocations identify which parts of Greater Manchester's programme are funded for the coming year. They provide a basis for tracking delivery across several sites and activities, rather than a measure of economic benefits already achieved.
