Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has outlined plans to support additional office and innovation space at Sci-Tech Daresbury through its Life Sciences Investment Zone.
The proposal, announced on 5 November 2025, seeks up to £7.5 million towards a new building as part of the second phase of Project Violet. The proposed development would provide specialist accommodation for companies working in science and technology.
The Combined Authority reported that the new building could support around 100 skilled jobs. It is part of a wider expansion in which two buildings are expected to accommodate approximately 250 jobs, building on the completion of Project Violet's first phase in 2022.
The same announcement also identified a further £900,000 of potential Investment Zone support for a health and life sciences proof of concept fund, intended to help early-stage ideas progress towards commercial use.
The proposals identify how Investment Zone funding could support additional premises at an established science and technology campus. The reported jobs and workspace remain anticipated benefits until funding and delivery decisions are complete.
